Apple Fitness+ launches Dec 15 in Singapore after a five year wait
Now I can stop asking Apple when it's finally coming
It’s incredible to think how a video-on-demand guided workout service took almost five years to launch in Singapore, but Apple Fitness+ will soon be here on Dec 15. I note that it’s been in nearby Malaysia for quite a while now, so I guess Malaysia Boleh.
Anyway, Fitness+ will feature workouts for 12 activities, including treadmill walking, cycling, high-intensity training, yoga, and more. These are all in 4K, with 4,000 of them ranging from 5 to 45 minutes.
While you’re exercising, your stats will be displayed on screen, either on TV or your phone, based on data taken from your Apple Watch. So you get to watch in real time on how you’re improving.
You also get custom plans that are designed around the activities you love, and personalised recommendations based on your training. The launch in new markets will also come with a new K-pop category, so I guess you can now exercise to Soda Pop.
Anyway, the service will cost S$9.98 a month, or S$79.00 a year. But there’s no word yet on whether this will be bundled into Apple One, which is Apple’s bundled subscription offer. It would be nice if Apple took the opportunity to also launch Apple One Premier, which should help reduce your bills even more.
I'm looking forward to trying the service out, to add on to my daily 30 minute workouts, and to try out Yoga (because really, I don’t want to exercise with a bunch of people). Stay tuned for our review of the service.
In our latest reviews, we checked out the best affordable flagship from Poco, the world’s first 360° drone that’s slightly pricey, and a ridiculously thin luxurious Samsung tablet with a beautiful large display.
While Poco usually launches budget value-orientated phones, this time around, the Poco F8 Ultra is set to stun with its premium flagship device. It features a subwoofer from Bose for 2.1 audio, while a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip offers solid performance. You also get a periscope telephoto camera and a 6,500mAh battery, which means you have a winner of a smartphone with a starting price of just S$949.
The first drone in the world to offer a 360° field of view as you’re flying, the Antigravity A1 is certainly an experience. You can look all around you through the Vision Goggles, while using the Grip controller to point to where you want to fly. Antigravity’s a new player in the market, and the drone is bound to shake things up a little. Sadly, it won’t be cheap, with prices starting from S$1,869, but well worth it for the experience.
With a 5.1mm thickness, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is an all-screen experience that coupled with the quad speakers, make for impressive immersive viewing. The 14.6-inch display offers 120Hz refresh rates, HDR support, and plenty of space for multi-tasking. You can also use Samsung’s Dex feature to connect to an external display. In short, ultra excellent.

Amazing news! Five years is a pretty wild wait for Singapore, especially when Malaysia had it already. The real question is gonna be wether the Apple One Premier bundle materializes alongside this, because S$79/year adds up quick when you're already paying for multiple Apple subscriptions. Kinda feels like Apple's staggered rollout strategy leaves obvious money on the table.
